The Zhanwang series is partially pregelatinized corn starch: it has strong water absorption and disintegrates faster in dry granulation, direct tablet compression, and capsule filling. The higher the degree of gelatinization, the greater the hardness in dry granulation and direct tablet compression. Under the same viscosity conditions, the Zhanwang process has obvious effects on the hardness and disintegration of direct compression tablets. The Zhanwang process products have complete viscosity specifications, with a viscosity of 20 to 120mpa.s (higher viscosity requires customization). Compared with starch, it has better fluidity and compressibility. When used as a tablet binder, dry or direct compression processes can be used. Partially pregelatinized starch is used in oral hard capsule dry powder preparations. The water content is less than 7% and is specifically used as a diluent for capsule prescriptions.
